Now it’s a very common problem i.e boogeyman out of the closet and grabs you and then wwoosshh, you wake up and start thinking of it the whole day. It really irritates when you are tired and having a good sleep and suddenly boogeyman wakes you up, this isn’t a co-incidence, there are reasons behind these horror dreams.
Excess Consumption Of Alcohol:
Helps you sleep in the short term, but excess consumption of Alcohol can cause you to wake up prematurely, and may lead to bad dreams and nightmares.
Includes fewer, such as Flu, may lead to boogeyman dream, and other sleeping disorders such as apnea and narcolepsy etc.
International Journal Of Psychology, published a small study of the group of healthy men and gave them spicy food to eat before bedtime and compared their quality of sleep of nights where they had non-spiced meals. On the spicy nights, the subjects spent more time awake and had a poorer quality sleep. The explanation is that spicy food can elevate body temperatures and thus disrupt sleep.
Junk Foods/Food Containing High Amount Of Fats:
Our sleeping depends more upon the quality of food we eat, junk foods and fat food causes disruption in sleep. A small study published in 2007 in Psychological found that the dreams of people who ate a high amount of organic food differed from those who ate “junk foods.
This thing won’t be ignored that our society has become complex and people have to strive in order to overcome problems. In tough situations, normally people take so much stress that they are unable to take proper sleep. According to the International Association for the Study of Dreams (), a major surgery or illness, grieving over the loss of a loved one, and suffering or witnessing an assault or major accident can trigger bad dreams and nightmares.
Some drugs, including antidepressants, barbiturates, and narcotics, can cause nightmares as a side effect.
